Dilip Joshi responds to claims that he owns a home and expensive car in Mumbai: We say, "Mujhe bhi batao kahan hai."

Dilip Joshi is a well-known actor in India thanks to his role as Jethalal in the hit sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Since the actor has been portraying the role since 2008, some believe that the show has not only gained him recognition but also a sizable home in Mumbai and a high-end vehicle. Joshi, however, recently dispelled the rumours, claiming that none of them are real.

Joshi addressed the rumours that he was the owner of the expensive Audi Q7 when he appeared on Bombay Journey. "People write anything and post anything on YouTube to get attention," he remarked. People are making up tales about how I own an Audi Q7. "Mujhe bhi batao yaar kahan hai, main chalaun usko," I am saying.

The actor also claimed that rumours circulate that he owns a Mumbai mansion with a pool. "Someone also said I have a bungalow with a swimming pool," Joshi continued. I think, "What would have been better than that if I had a bungalow in Mumbai, and that too with a pool in it?"

With Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, actor Dilip Joshi finally received his due. He had made his Bollywood debut in 1989's Maine Pyar Kiya, playing the part of a domestic helper. Later, he had appearances in films such as One 2 Ka 4, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, and others.

Joshi also discussed how Hum Aapke Hain Koun's success didn't help him in any way during the same interview. He played the cousin of Madhuri Dixit and Renuka Shahane in the film. He claimed that after receiving the Sooraj Barjatya film deal, he believed his future was secure. "I believed my life was finally complete. However, that movie came along, became a huge smash, and I had no further employment after that," Joshi remarked.
