Related stories
One of the most interesting stories related to Phase Five is the introduction of Fantastic Four and their nemesis Doctor Doom in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The team, led by Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) and Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), will be making their debut in 2022's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. While details are scarce, fans are speculating that this could mean a new universe-wide crossover event featuring members of The Avengers, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy, and more.
Another exciting story related to Phase Five is the possibility of an all-female Avengers movie. This has been discussed for years but now seems like a real possibility with actors such as Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) and others already signed on for future projects within MCU's Phase Five timeline. Whether or not this comes to fruition remains to be seen, but if it does it could prove to be a major step forward for female representation in superhero cinema.
Finally, there is also speculation about a Black Panther sequel starring Letitia Wright as Shuri following her introduction in 2018's first film. Apparently her character was originally slated for Phase Three but was pushed back due to scheduling conflicts, so it remains possible that she could make an appearance sometime during Phase Five. If so, it would mark one of few sequels within the MCU timeline since most characters' arcs tend to end after just one movie or series installment.
